Just a quick answer; it is possible to translate. Just take a look at the Qooxdoo translation API. But there is no way for Qooxdoo to discover translation keys, since they won't be in the source. This is not a problem with Qooxdoo, this is a general limitation of translation (please correct me if I'm wrong).
