Asking that questions proves that you aren't stupid at all. ;-)

Obvious defects should go straight into bugzilla. This usually allows
for the most effective workflow (and managing a history of an issue). It
also helps to keep the noise level low on the mailing list, so that
typical requests or technical discussions can be handled better.

Before reporting defects it often helps to briefly search bugzilla if
there's a related or identical bug already. Registering for qooxdoo's
issue tracking system is trivial. There's also a dedicated bug mailing
list you can subscribe to, or you can put yourself on CC for bugs you're
interested in to get notified of changes.

The more people use bugzilla for real defects the better,
