The Table widget was a fabulous addition to qooxdoo, a number of years ago
when it was implemented. It added great functionality, but, as is common in
20-20 hindsight, we've encountered a number of design issues that could be
better thought through. That, in fact, is what Fabian's been doing with the
new Virtual Widget infrastructure he's been working on. When that is
complete, I suspect we'll find that that Table and TreeVirtual are
ultimately obsoleted by code being converted to the new Tables and Trees
based entirely on his Virtual Widgets. In that light, I'm not too eager to
spend a lot of time adding features that can, albeit maybe a bit
difficultly, be achieved with the current interface. Sound reasonable?
