Not quite true. You can add and remove entries from the column menu, or
manipulate it in other ways. The column visibility menu is rebuilt each time
the user clicks on the top-right column visibility menu button. When
creation of the menu is about to start, the event
"columnVisibilityMenuCreateStart" is generated. It has data which is a map
containing three items: table, menu, and columnButton. When the menu has
been completely built, the "columnVisibilityMenuCreateEnd" event is
generated with that same data map.
Also, it's possible to dramatically modify the format of a column visiblity
menu. An example of doing so is the qooxdoo-contrib project
"TableColumnMenuGrid".
