The problem is that we embed plain HTML in these applications and our layout system is not yet able to efficiently measure the dimensions of the HTML. That's why we have to fallback to native overflow handling and scrollbars. There is already a bug for this issue <http://bugzilla.qooxdoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1804>
