Hello, Since Siarhei is putting the finishing touches on qxtransformer for 0.8, I am currently considering switching from qooxdoo 0.7 to 0.8. The main problem I have is that I have written a databinding layer in qooxdoo-contrib-qcl for 0.7 which allows to remotely update the virtual VirtualTree and Table widgets, which may or may not work with 0.8. I would really like to dump this stuff and use a native-qooxdoo databinding feature.
So my question is: what is the roadmap for supporting complex widgets like VirtualTree and Table in databinding? I could envision that such databinding would use json-rpc to pass events back and forth between the client and the server to update client and server if something changes. We don't have a server-push technology in qooxdoo yet, but there could be a controller that uses polling to check if table model or treemodel data has changed. I am happy to contribute to any work that is done in this area.
