Hi Vincent! > Jython 2.5.0 final is out
Great :-), it came out just 2 days ago, thanks for letting us know. > and I was trying to use it to build a > Qoooxdoo app (actually a freshly generated application). I followed > the wiki guide (except for the element tree section since it's now > included) and faced a runtime error during the JS source parsing (of > course, it works with "normal" Python): I updated the wiki guide to account for Jython 2.5.0 final. A number of workarounds could be removed, so it's pretty straightforward now to use (well, in the sense of: "to try out") Jython for qooxdoo's tooling. http://qooxdoo.org/documentation/general/jython Surprisingly, I do not observe any of the problems you mentioned. I tried both playground and feedreader apps under Java 1.6/Windows XP, and "source" as well as "build" built and ran just fine. Even the UTF8 workarounds weren't needed any longer, but I kept them for reference in the wiki doc. What's your setup? Are you on the latest trunk as well?
