Hi Guilherme, I'm afraid that qooxdoo is very big for these minimal solutions. I wrote some time ago BLite library (http://code.google.com/p/blite/) that contains similar object model that qooxdoo and it's very small. To be honest, I never needed libraries like jquery to select are links in page and do something (or select something else and make some cool effect:) )
You can also look at jxlib (http://jxlib.org/), it's only 90kb minified library that contains very useful widgets (and it's really fast for short living client pages). There is qooxdoo-portal demo (somewhere in qooxdoo website), but it's still too heavy (for me).
