No, I don't think the inheritance has gone wrong :-). The point is that table.Table is a widget that IMO *doesn't* use native scrollbars (like embed.Html, which is rather the exception than the rule), but qooxdoo scrollbars. So you still get at the contentElement with getContentElement(), but there is no use of commanding the browser to scroll to some position, when the browser didn't produce the scrollbar in the first place, right?! You need to scroll the qooxdoo scrollbar at the table. I'm no Table expert, but you might have to use .getPaneScroller().setScrollY(). Check the API.
