Hello everyone, I would like to announce that my "smart" table model is ready for prime time:
http://qooxdoo.org/contrib/project/smarttablemodel This should function as a drop-in replacement for the standard Simple model, but offers a bunch of new features that are especially useful for big and/or complex tables. It was inspired by Don Hummon's Filtered table model, but is a complete rewrite from the ground up. Migration to this model should address all of the filed issues with the existing Filtered table model. The filtering mechanism works completely differently, however, so if you use those capabilities you will need to change your code a bit. I've been running this under QooxDoo 0.8.2 and 0.8.3 without problems, but it probably works with any 0.8 release. Note that there is a minor bug in QooxDoo itself that removes a nice feature of the smart model: the selection should be maintained across sort operations, but isn't in practice. See http://bugzilla.qooxdoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=2769 for details. Other than that, it's been working nicely for me. Enjoy!
