Thanks for the pointer Jean-Baptiste.
Unfortunately, setting the table size explicitely doesn't work (or am I
missing something ?) as soon as the table is added to a container that
assisgns its children size dynamically (the splitpane for instance).
The last workaround described in the bug might work (I will give it a try),
but as I understand it, it forces the vertical scrollbar even if there is
enough space available to display the table rows ? May look a bit strange...

Maybe the small test-case I've submitted for the 0.8.3 playground should
help further ?
