Thomas,

are you including other JS libraries than Qooxdoo? I had a very similar (the
same?) problem when I used Prototype in my Qooxdoo application.

Try to reproduce the problem with a "clean" newly created application
(create-application) and a very small example program. I could NOT reproduce
the problem there and thus figured out that Prototype is doing something
that has the side effect in Qooxdoo you describe. BTW, the problem occured
somewhere between qooxdoo 0.8.2 and 0.8.3 (I used svn trunk).

Cheers,
Fritz

Hi Thomas,

nope, no patches. Just tried again in FF 3.014/XP, same result. Could
you try opening one of the demo apps under demo.qooxdoo.org/current and
running the code in the firebug console?

Regards,
Daniel

in demobrowser is "object" returned, this is correct. in my own
application

qx.util.Json.stringify([]);

returns ""[]"" (typeof "string")

maybe something is extending the core [] Object but i have no idea where
or what.
