Definitely this hints towards a MIME type thing. I recall something about
IE6 not liking the standard JavaScript MIME types and I also ended up using
a "de facto" standard one. Note that this may also apply to the MIME (and
other HTTP headers) being user for other file types (HTML, images, etc.). If
you have a running server, you may take a look at the headers being sent
using a tool such as Firefox's Firebug or TamperData plug-ins (or more
advanced traffic analyzers such as WireShark). This way you may compare what
Apache is done and imitate the quirky behavior in the other Web servers, if
desired. ;-)
