When using Google Chrome I can't get native context menu to appear in the
second example [2]. Can somebody confirm this?
I've opened a bug for this:

With Firefox 3.5 selection and menu seem to work for rich label but
not for
text label.
The problem here is Firefox inherent, as we are using XUL labels to
render Label widgets (this has the advantage of getting ellipsis
handling from XUL). But the XUL labels don't support native menus. - Use
RichLabels instead.
