I got suspicious that not more people are having this problem and I am now understanding that people use Firebug to inspect the application at runtime. So, I did the same and found out that I am a bit stupid. Because I am using qx.ui.decoration.Grid, I need to provide image tiles and not just a single image file! It works now.
