In this playground app of yours, if I right click on a number under the "A
number" column (column 1), it presents a menu containing "off" and "on". It
then sets true or false for that field when I make a selection from the menu
(not likely what you'd want), which is rendered as an empty string, but the
context menu itself works fine.

Wait... Are you saying that you see no menu using the demobrowser example if
you right-click on one of the checkboxes? If that's the case then there's
something misconfigured in your browser, I think. You did say you're using
Firefox, right? We know that it doesn't work properly with IE, but should
work fine with Firefox. There is an open bug to deal with the issue, so if
you have problems with this in a browser other than IE, we need to know
about it.
