Welcome, and yes, most of the core devs work in Karlsruhe, and we once in a while invite people around to meet up, usually around a local conference we're attending. We're not looking much into that... don't know, it never really materialized for us. In comparison, outside the list stackoverflow is a much better place to reach us, but then, it's no chat.
