Thanks to you. I also tried to set the name and id attributes but
unfortunately that didnt have an effect.
As you said, Andreas, placing a static HTML-page in an IFrame within a
Qooxdoo app would not really solve the problem. We'd like to use qooxdoo's
look and feel, internationalization and translation features so it would be
nice to implement that entirely in qooxdoo.

Yes, that's a good idea. Of course it would be nice to be able to use the
browsers' built-in password managers, but solving it with a cookie is imo a
good alternative. I think we have to find a trade off here between security
and convenience...
