Hello, my startup company is starting to develop Foursquare like web application. Application use Google Map API heavily. Development team has 1 Javascript expert, 1 PHP Zend expert as well as graphics designers.
I planed to use PHP Zend framework in web application development before I hired anyone to this project. Application would have be run on Amazon EC2. Reason to this was that PHP Zend is widely adopted, mature and development seems to be reliable. After hiring Javascript expert to project he found Qooxdoo just before we started to develop on the top of PHP Zend. Now, he is heavily willing to adopt Qooxdoo to our project. He hasn't used it in previous projects, but specs are promising. Me and my developers have been wondering that does Qooxdoo suite to Foursquare, Gowalla, Brightkite, whrrl like web apps. I am mostly worried about SEO optimization and the complexity of web application architecture as well as user experience (speed). Could someone be so kind and tell me, if Qooxdoo suites to Foursquare like project and what would be an optimimal technology to our project? I am mostly thinking technologies between Qooxdoo + PHP vs. Qooxdoo + PHP Zend vs. JQuery + PHP Zend. Which one should we go? Best regards Markku
