qooxdoo never explicitly sends an OPTIONS request. If there's a way to make
it go away, it would be some browser configuration. Because of that, though,
if you want to prevent it, all of your users will have to reconfigure their
browsers.
You'll see OPTIONS requests from firefox when making cross-domain requests.
Is the domain to which you're sending our POST request the same as the
domain from which you loaded the qooxdoo application?
