Thanks for the sample code - it works fine.

It does make setting the model more specific to the implementation - I have
a number of list widgets in my form model that I need to explicitly set
rather than allow the form model figure it out (that's the greatest part of
the binding controllers!)

I'd say this is an exception to the rest of the data binding solution.. I'd
be happy to help with a contribution but I wouldn't be sure where to start.
I guess the idea of an identity property (in my first post) would be needed
to determine the binding.
