I had handlers on keyDown, keyPress, and keyInput while figuring out how to best use those, and inadvertently ended up duplicating preventDefault calls so each handler had such a call.
Not sure what should happen, but I imagine the qooxdoo team would want to eliminate browser variability where possible. Anyway, with FireFox I got the keyInput event but not with any other browser.
