What I am seeing with a button I specified as focusable:false is: tabbing skips that button; clicking the button does not cause a 'focus' event to happen;
(so far so good. now the bad news) clicking the button takes the focus off whatever was focused before; if I now hit Enter the button fires as if I had tabbed to it, though the button is not highlighted as having the focus; tabbing moves the focus to the first focusable element on the page, as if it were at the top of the page hierarchy or something. Ideally the button, if not focusable, should just 'execute' and do nothing with the focus. Can this behvior be achieved? What I am looking at now is having the button execute handler re-focus on whatever had the focus before (which may not even work). Is there an easier way to get buttons not to mess with the focus? kt -- http://www.stuckonalgebra.com "The best Algebra tutorial program I have seen... in a class by itself."
