hey, I guess it does not depend on the version of qooxdoo. It either depends on the browser implementation. We are just changing an attribute of the input field with that option so maybe it will not work in all browsers. This may in deed be a security problem. So you need to give it a try and check where its working and if you need it to work in all browsers, maybe we need to exchange the password field with input fields and vice versa.
