Stefan, can you explain what you want to achieve with the bus? Somebody might have an idea or it could be an inspiration for others ...
I used the message bus in one of our applications a lot, but try to avoid it in the current application by using custom events. The message bus is tempting, but also introduces some "magic" (none-local effects not visible at the source of the message).
