Hey Fritz, thanks for the replies. My knowledge of javascript is low but its
good to able to have access to the underlying QX framework code. So, I read
with interest how the qx Function class uses the javascript apply() method
to create closures.

In my test code I've set the model of a table twice, with the second one
after the table has been added to a container and is therefore visible. I
expected this to work and it does (assuming I've not made a silly mistake
which simulates this effect!).

cheers,

Bharat

PS: I only discovered the FireBug FireFox add-on recently as I didn't read
the documentation fully enough. May I suggest that FireBug is introduced
immediately as one the initial steps in the Tutorials? Being able to debug
code is obviously essential and the introspection aspects will certainly
help to understand how the QX framework hangs together in a runtime setting.
