Hi,

when you are using a Grow layout the layout can also shrink, so you have 
also specify a min width to avoid a shrinking. But I have tried this 
with the TabView with no success. So it seems to me the his is a bug, 
could you please open a bug report.

But the good news. I have found a workaround, when you set the min width 
to the "pane" child control. Then it works like expected:
