Hi Alice,

welcome to Qooxdoo.

We have developed several applications with Qooxdoo and I don't think that
you must learn jquery in order to use Qooxdoo, except if you want to use
some jquery library together with Qooxdoo (I use jplot in one of my
applications, but I wouldn't claim that I learned jquery by doing that).
