However I'm not sure if it will work as I already tried something similar... In this case, my problem was the model is created after the widget appears (for some "conditional" reasons about the allowed values and so by extension, model's changes) and I always had to deal with null values, what was not helping in my case. But maybe I was wrong with my code...
