A few weeks back I searched around for Javascript based GUI's and for some
reason came up with nothing. As a result I started development of an SVG
based GUI, tonight I did another search "Javascript GUI" and up came
qooxdoo.

Imagine my feelings, after having spent a lot of time and effort in
developing an object library only to find this. However I'm very impressed
with what I see of qooxdoo and want to learn more about it. I will download
it and have a play.

What I have done so far is to create a series of javascript objects that
create windows and a desktop. The desktop and windows are all derived from
other classes clsBase and clsControl. clsBase provides some really basic
functionality such as error handling and reporting. clsControl provides a
lot of common control functionlity, also takes care of animations and
messaging.

So far I have all the basic window functionality done, minimize, maximize,
restore, drag around the desktop, drag resize. Its also fully skinnable.

But now I'm thinking is it worth continuing with the project or should I
park it?

I've been developing software commercially since the early 80's. For the
past 5 years I've been working with AJAX and developing corporate intranets.
