It seems that upgrading to qooxdoo 1.3 fixes the issue.
In qooxdoo 1.3 the offending code on line 100 of qx/bom/Label.js :
var inner =
document.createElementNS("http://www.mozilla.org/keymaster/gatekeeper/there.is.only.xul";,
"label");
does not execute.
This is because in qooxdoo 1.2 the code is executed if
qx.core.Variant.isSet("qx.client", "gecko") while in 1.3
(!qx.bom.client.Feature.CSS_TEXT_OVERFLOW &&
qx.bom.client.Feature.XUL) must be true.
In FF4, even though the app seems to work fine, I still get the
following error which I don't get in the other browsers:
element.firstChild is null
