Hi Dave,

thank you for having a look, but "__registerInputListener" is not the 
problem here. The method is just a helper method which should never used 
when IE9 is not running in IE9 Standards Mode.

It seems to me the the fall back in "registerEvent" doesn't work. The 
implementation should use the old IE behavior when IE9 doesn't run in 
IE9 Standards Mode, but it seems to me that this fall back doesn't work.
