This is a select box in Chrome:

Note:
.- Selected item with gray coloured background.
.- rounded corners
.- blue background and item well painted if I pass the ouse over it.

This is the select box in IE8.

Note:
.- the selected item with black background
.- squared corners
.- when I pass the mouse over an item, it get painted in white.

What do you think about this problem?
