Hi, the button widget isn't meant to be a drag source. Is there any particular reason why you can't use a different widget?
You could get it to work by subclassing qx.ui.form.Button and overriding the _onMouseDown method so it doesn't call e.stopPropagation() any more. That's what prevents the dragstart event from working. But there may be unwanted side effects.
