I forgot to add, perhaps it is a useful clue,  that the output from all the
Listeners (in order)  for several of the combinations I have used is this:

10326633 test_app0.MO: onreadystatechange
10326653 test_app0.MO: onreadystatechange
10326665 test_app0.MO: onreadystatechange
10326669 test_app0.MO: onerror 


so I think the final stage of the communication protocol is being reached? 
And this means that 'security' and other things have been 'cleared' Iwill
guess.

Also, this is exactly the same results I get when I use a url that does not
have a corresponding 'get' block in Sinatra - but what that means I can't
think - maybe there is a mismatch of character set somehow - but I haven't
run across anything anywhere about this in the documentation.
