One of the features of the current sourceforge svn system that is really
critical to me is the emailed commit messages. Using git hooks, I know it's
possible to do that, but I haven't seen any projects on github using it.
Please, please, please don't lose this facility! Having to go to github to
look explicitly for commits will mean that I won't do it (I know myself well
enough to know that regardless of how much I'd like to do it, it just won't
happen), so I'll have much less insight into what's going on during
development. The emailed commit messages ensure I can watch what's going on.
