As qooxodoo does not support full multilingual applications, we started the
development of qooxdoo-multilingual edition. It is a contribution to the
community though more an edition than a contribution of qooxdoo. No other
javascript framework supports all of these necessary internationalizing
features.
With qooxdoo-multilingual you can develop true multilingual applications.
The edition currently follows trunk but will be branched when finally
released. The following are the supporting features:
1. different user interface directions, rtl-tb, ltr-tb, tb-rtl (also all the
other directions as a layout support)
2. different user interface flows
3. different text directions, rtl-tb, ltr-tb, tb-rtl (also all the other
directions as a layout support)
4. text align flip support
5. flipped images
6. custom flipped scrollbars where natives are not supported
7. Bidi with Unicode character block database
8. Dynamic favicons where it is supported
9. Dynamic fully internationalized page titles
10. Automatic theme support
11. Local and global locale support i.e. localization down to widget level,
the same app can be multilingual at the same time.
To test the functionality the demobrowser can be generated and run. Choose
the widgets you want to see after selecting the locale.
