Hello colleagues!

I would like to say "thanks" to every person who makes it possibly for QooxDoo to became stable, mature and powerful tool, and who makes it publicly available. With help of such a wonderful instrument we was able to afford by our tiny team a project in a time (and of course in budget) constraints for Russian electricity grid company OAO "FSK EES" (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/FGC_UES).

QooxDoo (along with JqPlot) provides all UI elements for our application. Only application component we was forced to implement was JSON-RPC server side parser and RPC command dispatcher in C++.

For curious persons here is a short description (sorry for my English grammar and spelling )) ):

This project was completed (not really completed, but its features-set was frost) at summer (hm, funny 'frost in summer') of 2011. It is used internally for monitoring/controlling electricity flows between states. Data for registered electricity channels is retrieved in the background via various channels - (mostly via emailed XML files, modems and domestic TCP protocols) and stored to the DBs. Data could be viewed by operators with different permissions: data access policy is based on different users roles. Simple framework for application scripting based on Perl is included.

The project is quite simple and based hugely on legacy C/C++ code, so it was accomplished only by one person for 3 months. Application is monolingual: only Russian version exists. Simple caching mechanism (implemented with help of POCO library) is used for data request from DB on server side.

Tools:

 * POCO C++ framework for server side
 * QooxDoo framework for client side (with jqPlot)
 * JSON-RPC (over HTTPS) is used for backend <-> frontend communication
 * PERL with 'Safe compartment' and domestic XS module for application
   scripting and tasks automation
 * PostgresSQL RDBMS as "data backbone"
