Hi Kora,

For a simple search text field, i would choose a qx.ui.mobile.textField and set 
the background icons via CSS.

You can alter the CSS of the textField in your application under    

resource/app-name/css/styles.css

Just add a class to the textField and style it through the styles.css

Something like this:

.textField {
  background-image: none;
  background: url(../icon/camera.png);
  background-position: 95% center;
  background-repeat: no-repeat;
}


In a similar way you could style form field of selectbox. It gets more tricky 
if you want to change the icon according to the selected value.
In this case, a enhancement of the SelectBox would be necessary.
