Mh, there is nothing obviously illegal with your code line, the outer
'this.tr' call should just trigger a warning saying "Unknown expression
as argument to translation method". But this doesn't cause an exception.
My feeling is the exception you get stems from some other piece of code,
e.g. there is no mentioning of 'console' in the code you quoted.
Could you re-check this? Could this be an old qooxdoo version?
