Franček, I haven't looked at Google Apps. I have done some work with Google Extensions using qx and found it was very easy to write a basic plugin architecture for them. One of the qooxdoo-contribs - ChromePlugin - I wrote based on my work. It provides a basic set of classes to handle communication between the front-end part of an extension and the background page. I just got back to looking at it (it's lain dormant since I published the plugin I wrote against it) and it still works with 2.1 it appears). I've just moved the code over to github at greg-hellings/ChromePlugin.git and my Extension source is hosted there as well at greg-hellings/ShinyProxy.git. You're welcome to look them over to see if they give you any inspiration for working with Apps.
As for the restricted code, I can't speak to that. I'd be interested to hear if you go down that road and what you find. --Greg On Fri, Dec 7, 2012 at 4:16 AM, fprijate <[email protected]> wrote: > Hi > > Has anybody tried Qooxdoo with > Google Chrome Apps <http://developer.chrome.com/stable/apps/about_apps.html> > > There are a few problems: > 1. eval > 2. setTimeout(),setInterval() with string param > 3. new Function > are forbidden > Anyhow they are "Bad parts" of JS. > It can be solved by sandboxing page containging script . > Is there any hope (or possibility ) to replace evals in platform? > I am aware of, that eval is needed in interactive console ,playground or > Firebug. > > Franček > > > > > -- > View this message in context: > http://qooxdoo.678.n2.nabble.com/Qooxdoo-and-Google-Chrome-Apps-tp7582223.html > Sent from the qooxdoo mailing list archive at Nabble.com. > > ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ > LogMeIn Rescue: Anywhere, Anytime Remote support for IT.
