Hi Martin, Andreas,

I'm just starting with migration, but I'll sure be back and report my
findings.

What I wanted to achieve is having a decorator which indicates invalid
fields and invalid fields having the focus.

I wanted to implement a 1px red border for invalid, non-focused fields
and a 2px red border for focused invalid fields.

I've tried to use a single border for this purpose, having a border
width of 1px for invalid and 2px for invalid focused fields, but this
leads to a grow of the field dimensions causing to layout to be
recalculated and field positions to jump on gaining focus.

I've tried to compensate the field width by setting accordingly margin
1px lower on invalid focus state, but I've not been able to compensate
field width with this method, so I tried the double borders which failed
on IE8.

Sadly I'm forced to support IE8, even if this may result in having a
different appearance for this browser.

For IE9 and above I'm using shadow decorators showing a thin (invalid)
or thicker (focused invalid) "glow" around the fields which works well.

Regards.
Dietrich.
