Hi, this solution doesn't work on my code (2.1.1 version of qooxdoo). The fadin does not happen. Also fadeIn should return an animation handle which it doesn't. FadeOut does return an handle and works.
Strange, that in your playground example fadeIn also does not return an animation handle, but the fadeIn works.
