Hi Tobias,
there was a bug inside qooxdoo 3.5 with external image resource.
Please replace your qx.ui.mobile.basic.Image
inside the folder
qooxdoo/framework/source/class/qx/ui/mobile/basic/Image.js
with the content of the latest version:
https://github.com/qooxdoo/qooxdoo/blob/branch_3_5_x/framework/source/class/qx/ui/mobile/basic/Image.js
After patching that file, everything should work as expected.

Whenever I add a picture (either mobile.basic.image or atom) it is never shown..
The only way that works is a picture in a mobile.list.List Listitem..
Shouldn't I be able to display an image everywhere? in Containers, groups, on
the plain navigationpage content and so on?
