Hello Norbert,
I tried this with qooxdoo 3.5 and qooxdoo 1.6. Same behaviour with both 
editions. No error, but no colour backgound either.
Theme is the default one, whichever comes standard with the sdk. I just run 
create-application.py to get a new skeleton project and add my code to 
application.js that creates the window. No setting theme is performed in any 
way.
