Hi,
as I see the problem is caused by the fact, that in current version the image
has a width/height set inside the image.
The devel version does not have a size inside the image, and that is why it is
shrinking.
For me, it looks like a bug. Could you please open one?
As a quick fix, you could apply a min-width/min-height for the icon.

I've migrated a mobile application to the latest qooxdoo master branch without
much of a trouble. However, I'm currently struggling against a weird layout
problem on lists renderers, as demonstrated by the 2 mobile playgrounds
examples below.
The 1st one (current) is working, but the second one (devel) is not.
The symptom is that the icon width gets shrinked as soon as the list item width
is too small to display the entire title :

You can see in the 2nd example that the first list item gets a shrinked
envelope image.
I've tried hard to play with the list-item-image css class without much success
except a fix on Chrome using flex-shrink:0 but this does not work in Safari.
Since I'm very far from being a css expert, any idea is welcome.
Of course, I can open a bug if this is considered as such.
