Regarding questions on stackoverflow: We try to move over to stackoverflow, as this would improve the projects visibility and has a lot more options in formatting code and text, linking, crossreferencing, adding images, editing questions and answers and so forth.
Regarding the move to github: the github move currently happening is only the issue tracker from bugzilla.qooxdoo.org to github, because we try to have source code and issue tracking both the same platform. The move of the repo itself from sourceforge to github was already done in 2011.
