Dear all, we are using ARTS/Qpack to retrieve middle atmospheric water vapor from the 22GHz line. After improving our instrument (MIAWARA-C, ground-based MW radiometer) we are now able to measure two polarizations (we measure two spectra at the same time). So far I took a noise weighted average of the two spectra for the retrieval. But the baselines of the two measured spectra are different. The resulting baseline of the combined spectrum is not easily "fitable".
Therefore, I would like to retrieve both spectra in one retrieval, but with independent baseline fits. Is something like this already included? Or should I try to modify the code? I think I would mainly have to change the forward model matrix K from a (m x n+b) to a (2m x n+2b) matrix (m-length measurement, n-length profile, b-#baseline-functions) and the covariance matrices have to be adapted. best regards, Brigitte _______________________________________________ qpack mailing list [email protected] https://www.sat.ltu.se/mailman/listinfo/qpack
