i can't contribute to solve the qpack problem you encountered here. but i
am wondering whether cloudy sky retrievals are at all possible at the
moment. we are working on cloudy-sky jacobian feature right now. an
experimental version is available in the development version of ARTS, but
maybe only when using plain ARTS (not interfaced from atmlab/qpack).

patrick, could you confirm whether i'm right or whether there actually are
cloudy sky jacobians from qpack?
