Benjamin just received a message from Pino Toscano that even though poppler 0.20 and later is based on xpdf 3.03 which is licensed under GPL v2 and v3, poppler itself still has to be considered as GPL v2 only which is incompatible with GPL v3. Hence I more or less have to change the license of qpdfview to GPL v2 or later. For the source code itself, this is no problem. The translations done via Launchpad are also unproblematic as they are automatically BSD licensed. But I would ask all direct contributors of translations and documentation to give me their permission to distribute the program under the GPL v2 including their contributions. (Or at least tell me their opinion on this so I can remove those contributions.) AFAIK, this would include: Benjamin Eltzner, Fabian Pijcke and Leo Romanovski.
